Congratulations! We know this is an exciting time for your family. We look forward for the opportunity to share in the joy of parenthood with you! Excellent care happens when the physicians and office staff are aligned with your family’s priories and philosophies regarding medical care. Please review our policies page to ensure we are a good fit for your family. Here are some other things to consider when choosing us to care for your newborn. Prenatal Orientation We offer prenatal orientations on a monthly basis. Prenatal visits are typically scheduled on Sunday mornings at 8:30am. Please call our office to register and confirm our schedule. It is a service we offer free of charge. Your prenatal visit allows you to meet with one of our doctors and tour our office. There will be time to ask questions and receive written materials about our practice.  These are small group visits intended to familiarize you with our office, pediatricians and staff. If you have specific medical issues or concerns to discuss with a doctor, than you are welcome to make a regular appointment with one of our doctors. Lactation Consulting We have on-site lactation support with certified lactation consultants. Consultants will work side by side with your physician during your baby’s appointment should you need this service. Click here for additional resources that may be helpful. Initial Newborn Visit Hospitalist pediatricians will care for your child in the newborn nursery of the hospital of your choice. Typically a newborn visit is scheduled with our office 2-3 days after discharge form the hospital. Check to see if we are a participating provider under your insurance. Please contact our office if you have questions about your insurance plan or visit our billing page on our website. It is extremely important that you add your new baby to your health insurance policy once your baby is born. Most insurance plans have a 30 day grace period for newborns to be added. Once the grace period has expired, if the baby has not been added, the parent will be responsible for charges incurred. Please remember to bring your insurance card, co-pay, and discharge instructions/patient forms given to you from the hospital to your first visit. In addition, we ask you complete our Newborn Packet below prior to your visit if possible.
